A MINISTRY OF OMF NEW ZEALAND
Bamboo Kiwi-Asian Resources is under the umbrella
of OMF NZ - an international missionary organisation with its
focus in East Asia. OMF International was formally called CIM
(China Inland Mission) and was started by Hudson Taylor in
1865.
International - Interdenominational
- Committed to evangelism
For OMF International East Asia is about people: more than two billion,
of whom fewer than one percent know and serve Jesus Christ. As a faith
mission we have proved God's faithfulness over 140 years. We are looking
for called, creative, committed co-workers to glorify God in Asia.
Live No Ordinary Life

OMF is dedicated to giving ordinary people
the opportunity to do something extraordinary for God. The
opportunities to serve God within OMF are varied, so even if
you don't think you're cut out for the mission field but are
passionate about serving God, then visit our website at www.noordinarylife.org and
check out our New Zealand Serve Asia or short-term teams or
contact us for more information.
We have mission opportunities for individuals
or groups, old or young, experienced or inexperienced. Be
it short term or long term, three weeks on the field or three
years. OMF, as a missions organisation, is committed to providing
opportunities for people to answer the call of God on their
lives.

Our motivation
In recent years, New Zealand has
become a very multicultral society. And because OMF International
has served in Asia for over 140 years, we are one of the largest
missions in East Asia, also desire to see God's kingdom extend
through those now living in New Zealand.
OMF's mandate is not only to send people to
East Asia from New Zealand but to also assist New Zealand and
ethnic churches to do the same, while together reaching the
unchurched Asian community in New Zealand.
Bamboo plays a key role in this vision as
it serves at the grassroots, providing information and resources
to churches and individuals.
We need your cooperation
It is our observation that those who come to New Zealand from Asia are,
at least in the early stages, very open to the Christian message. Churches
that strategise to reach these people have the potential to become
healthy multi-ethnic churches.
Besides offering your church personal consultation
and seminars ("Between Two Worlds" is
a seminar for churches) on how to more effectively reach
Asians in your community, we would like to suggest you
stock bi-lingual
New Testaments and other materials in your church.
